MOTOWN at The Fox SOUTHAMPTON Inspired by the fun had at recent 365 event we decided to hold our own! First things first, we had to find a venue. After looking at a number, The Fox at Fair Oak had what we were looking for, plenty of parking and enough room to put up a 15m x 18m Marquee to hold 250 people. It had also just had a complete refurb and Des the new owner proved to be a worthy ally in helping us. So we decided to launch 'The Marquee Club'. A club where a more descerning client could enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere. A club that we are able to move to differnt locations so hopefully you're not always the one that has to travel to get there. The maquee had a real night club feel on the night and the dressing of the club was breathtaking. From the starcloth ceiling down to the black & white dance floor, everything looked amazing. A live band played Motown music and a specialist Motown DJ took us on through to the wee hours. The poser tables and chairs were relaxing and informal and the Motown image banners of legends such as Dianna Ross, Gloria Gaynor and Marvin Gaye added a real touch of class. The 6 metre round Cocktail Bar was an enormouse success, serving an array of drinks all night with the 'Motown Monster' proving to be a particular favourite (you know who you are!) The band performed on a raised stage to give equal viewing to all with a waterfall LED back drop. There was a chill out are to the rear of the club with seating and tables for those who needed to get their breath back. All 365 events are documented by a professional photographer and this event was professionally video'd as well so why not have look at what we do or if you were a guest, see if you can spot yourself!
